Thread: Are you a Wretched Remnant?

    Are you a Wretched Remnant?

Wretched Remnants runs Sunday nights at 8:45pm to midnight. This schedule was done to accomodate a couple of people who no longer sign up, so we could, possibly, change it.

    Current roster:

    TANKS

Tao (warrior), Falconi (paladin) (Ragekage (DK), but I think RL family commitments are taking him away from us :( )

    HEALERS

Kitirat (Druid), Zethrin (Shammy) (ooberhause (priest) but dead computer has taken her from us)

    Range DPS

Kinjite (mage) Annastasia (mage) (Kyrel, but he hasn't signed up in a while, maybe bad connection issues?)

    Melee DPS

Unrelenting (DK), Jordel (Druid, also possible tank), Zanthany (paladin), Falani (enh shaman)

As you can see, we really would love to have a priest who could switch between healing and shadow duty. We have the pieces here to have one hell of a 10 man team, we just haven't typically had the same 10 people available all the time.

I want to rectify that. If you see your name on the list and you can't commit to the time, let me know so we can look for a replacement.

Typically one or more of us don't show up any given Sunday and by then it's VERY difficult to find a replacement.

And if there is another DPS/Heal combo who needs a home, ask yourself, are you Wretched enough? Once I can get 10 people of the right mix who can commit, I'm gonna start locking things in.

Well, I always kind of thought of the remnants as my 10 man home as Sunday night s are usually the time that works for me. I really could be your swing dps/healer. I have a decent heal set that needs a little gemming/enchanting love that I just can't afford. The only problem is that I am not ranged dps, which I see as our "need."

P.S. - This Black on light black typing box is killing me rage.

ah hell, forgot Falani :) nah, you're in the melee DPS category, I'm not at home, so going from memory.

And Rage, no doubt, family comes first! We're just taking hits, you've got family, Vuln has baby, not sure where knuckles and Villain went to. Oob has a cat that ate her computer (true story)

Would someone be willing to split a run with me? Say I do an hour or two, and then they come in and take over.. I just cant stay late anymore, i get too tired, but I hate to see you needing a priest when I could help.
Prayers for power and oaths I gave.
To bless, and heal, and lives to save.

It's a bit late for me too, but on Sundays, I could probably manage.

    FYI, I am shadow/holy.

OK, so here's a question somewhat related, but mostly not... given that I had to disappear about a year ago, and am therefore geared to the nuts in Naxx T7.25 stuff but nothing beyond, what is the best way of catching up to the raid group? I'd love to be part of it again, but I haven't said 'boo' to anybody since being back for fear of being casitgated for my lack of progression gear. I suppose running randoms and hoping to get enough frost badges? Is that really the best way of getting "up there" now? I'm sure you don't bother to run the older raids anymore, can't say I blame you, just looking for guidance.

Best way at the moment is to do ToC 10, ToC 25, you can do those in PUG's rather easily now. Start farming Triumph badges which you can get from your everyday heroici instances. That would be the quickest way, you can buy Tier 9 items and ilvl 245 items with Triumph badges. That would be your best bet.

Also ilvl 232 items drop in the following instances - Trial of the crusader p5 heroic...The next three take a bit more gear Pit of Saron, Halls of Reflection, and the last ICC instance, i can't recall what it is called.

    Hope that helps.

And dont ever be afraid to ask me for help getting geared, I'd be happy to.

What Ado said. Do 1 ormore random heroics each day, the first gets you 2 frost badges, successive get you two extra triumph badges in addition to all Heroic bosses dropping triumph now.

PUG TOC 10 and 25, I used to do that regularly and it's pretty easy now.

DL gearscore if you're going to PUG. It sucks, but it's what a lot of PUGs use as a baseline of who they'll let in.

Be a tank for instant access to the random heroics. Tanks get in instantly, healers take about 2 minutes, DPS about 10-15 minutes.

Check out the guild bank for some charity epics, theres usually some stuff others don't want that get thrown in there.

Charity Epics usually don't last long. Also, there's always the money route - there's quite a few people in guild crafting the plate and some cloth iLvl 264 items.

Cloth DPS pants, DPS Plate, Tank Plate I know for sure, since I've given out Saronite for those :)

    Thanks guys, random's it is!

im still working on heal gear, i think Sid is almost ready for the iccs, but not sure. he has a gs of 4800ish if that helps at all. If u think hes ready id be willing to give it a shot. hes disc atm, but wouldn't mind going holy. Have Shadow, have a shadow set, just not as well geared for it. I always hesitate for the big stuff, hate to be the weak link hehe

Zy, and others, you can hit me up for randoms as well. I'm constantly regemming, so I'm always in need of triumph badges. My DPS will make anything quick, and my heal set is more than adequate for pre icc 10/25.

    Kin,
I am always available to fill in for ranged dps. i say fill in because you have 2 mages already but if you want a commited 3rd mage im down..

For cloth, I can now do every ICC Cloth pattern, (had nothing better to blow my Frost badges on, the joy of only needing to buy 1 set of clothing).

Wamage, Zy, Sidain: Wretched's issues stem from people signing up and then not showing up. If you happen to be on at 8:45 on Sunday's, there's a good chance someone won't show up. If you're there and available, you'll get priority for next weeks' run. The sad thing is, without consistent players learning to work together, we'll be several weeks behind. This week we got up to our usual Rotface with 1/2 hour left to raid, Tao and Unrelenting both were no-shows.
