Requirements for Applying to Order of ChaosThere are two different types of membership application open to prospects: regular membership is open to all friends and family of existing guild members; raiding membership carries no such real life requirements, but has game requirements as detailed below:- Must be level 70, and have previous raiding experience in WoW.
- We do not have a mandatory raiding schedule requirement, but we do ask that if you do sign up for a raid, that you make effort to stay the entire duration of the Raid.
- Familiar with, and have installed, Raiding Addons (i.e. Bigwigs).
- Attuned for end-game instances.
- We encourage players to build their characters for PvE content, although this is not an absolute requirement.
- We've implemented a concept of Raid Groups - please discuss with respective Raid Leaders for requirements to participate in the group. Although raid leaders may invite under-equipped characters at their discretion, players should not expect invites unless their character’s progression is appropriate for the raid.
- Must not be applying to other guilds while applying to OoC.

Guild EtiquetteGeneral- It is expected that all members treat their peers with respect. Harassment or malicious behavior of any kind is not allowed.
- Do not embarrass the guild; you wear an Order of Chaos guild tag on the forums and in-game. Guild members who do will be removed from the guild until the matter is resolved.
- We believe in guild unity, this means that guild members are your first priority. It may be necessary during leveling to group outside the guild, this is accepted and encouraged, however when organizing a group look to the guild first.
- Regardless of age, all members should strive for maturity at all times.
Raiding
- Try to be as patient and positive as possible. A negative attitude is contagious and can seriously affect raid morale.
- Do not AFK excessively. We understand that real life happens and that it can require your attention, so in the event of you needing to leave your keyboard you are responsible for notifying your Class Leader, the Raid Leader or an Officer of your need to step away.
- Notify the Raid Leader in advance of first pull if you need to leave a raid early, or if you require attendance during a specific boss kill.
- Always pay attention.
- Ask for buffs via tells, do not use /raid. Make sure you have all relevant buffs on you at all times. If you have buffs to provide, make sure you provide them promptly so that raid members do not need to ask.
- Make every effort to arrive at the instance portal on time. Do not request summoning when you are out of the raid zone. When applicable, request summoning once you have entered the zone.
- Join the appropriate raid chat channels for your class and/or role.
- Do not loot anything within a raid instance unless you are the designated looter or you have been told to do so by the Raid Leader.
- Have fun at all times!
Expectations for Raids- Be prepared for the raid. Make sure that you are carrying all necessary potions, reagents and gear relevant to your class and/or role prior to traveling to the instance portal.
- If your spells require reagents, be sure to have plenty on hand.
- Familiarize yourself with the guild strategies and guides found on our Wiki.
Loot DistributionOrder of Chaos uses a Zero-Sum DKP system that was built in house and is very flexible for our needs. It is intended to be a low inflation system, so new and casual members can collect points and have a very high chance of winning items. Maintain a decent attendance rate and this chance increases. We separate DKP systems for major raiding zones; Molten Core and Blackwing Lair can be found here: http://www.orderofchaos.com/dkp Temple of Ahn'Qiraj can be found here: http://www.orderofchaos.com/dkpAQ How the point system works in detail can be found here: The Order of Chaos Loot System - OOCWiki Recruitment ProcessAll applications are reviewed by OoC Class Leaders and Officers. If you have one or more friends within OoC who can vouch for your abilities and style, this will speed up your application process considerably. Ockham (recruitment officer) will contact you in game or on the forums with information on the application process once we have received your application. Depending on your standing with the guild (real life friend, family member, or applying as a raiding member) the process will vary. You should hear from us within 1 week of applying. Thanks for considering Order of Chaos, remember - it's nobody’s fault but the Gnomes.
