OK, I had a much longer post, but in the interests of not arguing pointlessly on the interwebs, let's just say this... That's what makes this country so great. 65M people vote for one person, 56M for another. And in 4 years we get to do it all over again. I love this place.

Personally I'm very happy with the result last night, happier still that the senate won't be a total lock as I don't think that's healthy for any of us, and in summary looking forward to four years of not feeling like we have to bomb everything on the planet just because.

Heh, typical. "You didn't vote for Obama?! You must be "insert derogatory term". Racist has been most used...that's the first time I've seen insane.

Anyway, I'm not much for arguing over the internet...so I'm going to leave this be. To each their own...and I hope Obama's administration doesn't reflect what he has stood for in the past.

P.S. Propyro...just google my points and you should get plenty of hits...but it's really a moot point now. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm lazy and doing a psych assignment right now ... i was hoping for the Coels notes. Plus I really don't like sorting through political BS, truthfully, every few years when I vote i literally say "I'm choosing the next criminal to lead the country". Despite my lack of faith in the system I still vote simply for the right to complain later, I usually don't complain, but I like to to feel like I have the option.

Maybe I'll look it up later.

has promised to bankrupt the companies that produce 48% of the countries energy...check
refuses to acknowledge the flag or nation anthem...check

I would be in an intoxicated state right now, but I get to go to work and make money. The ONLY way things won't be so bad is if Obama stays central. I highly doubt this because he has a liberal voting record and liberal leaders of both houses of congress that will push their entitlement agendas.

Now I have to wait two years in hopes that the GOP can take more seats away from the democrats in congress and prepare for the coming of the 2012 election.

You will not find any true/accurate history on either candidate on the internet if it was posted within probably the last 2 years. It will be spun, manipulated or otherwise inaccurate.

A person is truly defined by their actions and not their influences. You're basically condemning a man before he has done anything, and if you're going to do that, you may as well be paranoid enough to believe that McCain could have been brainwashed while a PoW. He's a Manchurian Candidate, yo!!
