If you are like me (and gotta get it at midnight) here's one list of locations.

Well apparently due to Mall restrictions the Gamestop where i reserved will no longer do any sort of Midnight release for games =( sigh

I'm probably going to the Future shop in my area, I'm hoping that it being new and near another larger Future shop and a best buy that it'll have a small crowd, that and the fact that it's almost out in butt-fuck nowhere.

The way the server's been acting since patch i have a slight feeling that not getting the game at midnight wont really make any difference

Wasn't that already broken when they ended the beta and immediately upgraded the live client? I got the impression there was deliberately not an upgrade path between the beta client and live WOTLK.

Anyway, I'm going to a small store in Toronto that IS doing the midnight thing. Gotta support the small business, after all!

Lotta people are actually splitting their time between WoW and WAR apparently; they play PvE in the former (levelling, raids, etc.) and PvP in the latter, since WoW's PvP isn't nearly as good and neither is WAR's PvE.

Haven't played WAR so I can't speak to that, but it seems logical enough.

(As opposed to AoC, which is just broken.)

Blizzard just upgraded the Account Management page and now they let you upgrade from Regular to Collectors Edition. (Provided you have the keys) So this is great news for me I am so going to a midnight release tomorrow and getting a game =p

7-11's trashy retail policy and ineptly trained staff don't know what a street date is, so they received product and figured that they have to sell it right away. Even at EB Games we used to get grilled for selling things before the street date because my manager kept forgetting to read his emails.

WOW did that install/patch process take a while. I need to defrag. :P

ProPyro: it was Gamerama at Yonge and Eglinton. Known those guys for a while; it's a good store. I would have liked one of those sweet hats they had up at Future Shop, but hell with it, they have enough money. :D

Ah, I was up in Brampton near where I live, the joys of a new store in an undeveloped area is that few people know about it, hence why I was able to get what I was after. As for the store you mentioned, it sounds familiar, but usually I'm not anywhere near Younge and Eglington so I might be mistaking it for something else.
