Feral druid here. The mage is going to get shelved for a bit, kind of burned out (no pun intended).

Guess what?! I'll be a mage.

I'm thinking of going Arcane. Since release I've always wanted to go Arcane.

For those that have been in beta for a while.... am I crazy?! Is it viable? Most importantly, would it be helpful for the guild to have an Arcane mage around?

Not crazy at all. Arcane is alot of fun in beta. The damage is pretty comparable to fire. When Missile Barrage procs it gets pretty wild.

Sudac, first and foremost. After that Taara, more than likely as Elemental or Resto.

Trill will level at her own pace, when and if I get the chance, the Dk will be a blue xp side project.

Fire for life, may blizzard not fail me.

I'll probably stick with my lock for the mad leveling rush. Probably going demon/affliction. Then I'll level Knuckles.

If my mage is 70 by November 13th, I may just go with him for a change of pace. Otherwise I'm sticking with my warrior. My wife (Athelas/ Shadow Priest) and I are planning on playing a ton when WotLK hits...so excited. =)

I plan on working on Yubero first (still as resto), though there is a possibility Dargomar, my shammy, could take over (resto as well).

I will undoubtedly level Ock to 80 first, after that I really don't know. I'm probably one of the few who doesn't even have to 2 70's, my priest and mage are still both 66-68. I did enjoy playing a baby druid I made right before the last time I quit though, so who knows.

I've heard very little talk of returning ferals, locks, and shamans. Have these classes got the shaft somehow or is it just everyone riding the DK wave?
Locks should do ok, it just really isn't that fun to play for me personally. I just don't like the new Fire rotation. Shadow Destruction was destroyed by a combination of Nerfs:
Shadow Weaving (+10% shadow spell damage) is a self buff for the shadow priest. Warlocks get no benefit.
Demonic Sacrifice (+15% shadow damage) nerfed to +10% shadow damage.
Improved Shadowbolt (+20% shadow damage) nerfed to +10% shadow damage.

Oh, warlock utility-

Curse of Recklessness- No longer useful (Faerie Fire is superior and they don't stack)

Curse of Elements- Unholy DK brings Ebon Plaguebringer (They do not stack)

Blood Pact- Prot Warrior brings Commanding Shout (They do not stack)

Locks don't bring any utility you can't get from another class, with the exception of a healthstone and a soulstone. Mages are one of the very few that still have a unique raid buff, and that is +10% spell crit on the target through imp Scorch or Winter's Chill. No other class can bring that debuff.

Given how bleak the outlook is for new games atm, and how staggeringly bored I am, this is almost starting to looking tempting. Gave my account away tho and I'm not so sure I'd want to start over from level 1 for the 15th time, with an 80 level climb ahead of me, so who knows.

I've heard very little talk of returning ferals, locks, and shamans. Have these classes got the shaft somehow or is it just everyone riding the DK wave?
Dumbass!! I could have told you so.
Have none of you heard of just canceling your account for a while, when you get tired and need a break?? You dont have to delete your toon, delete your account, sell it, break it, give it away. I bet you shoot yourself in the head when you want to quit a job. haha.

I am placing Maijin under protective custody of Ockham. He knows how to take a break without fubaring his account ha ha.

Come on back as a lvl ONE, so I can call you the NUB you are hahahaa

As it stands, Lynliss is going to be Boomkin come the free respec. I've been playing around with it in Beta and I really like it.

As for who's going to be my main, I'm waffling a bit there. I'm debating between sticking with my tried and true Druid or switching to Lock. They're both fun to play in Beta, currently, though I have to admit right now, it's a bit more fun with my Druid.

At the moment, I'm intent on going prot for WotLK. I've been a holy paladin for four years and I think it's time for a change.

I was thinkin druid first, resto so I can do that healing thing I always wanted to try, but with so many druid responses here already I might just restart the account early and get my shaman to 70 before basketball season starts. The lock and the rogue are both looking very unappealing right now.

I guess for p10 the question is "what 5 other classes do 5 DKs need to be uber?"

Anything with lots of raid utility is going to be amazing for 10 mans really, because it's impossible to get *all* the buffs/debuffs for both casters and physical dps in one raid, so bringing as many as possible is going to help a lot.

I propose we abbreviate this term "Rammy" (sorry, been playing too much Castle Crashers)

At this point... resto shaman IMO. Spriests lost their massive mana regen and gained some dps, though an Spriest is still a very good hybrid dps class.

DK Unholy Spec unless they crush the fun out of it sometime soon.
Tanking/DPSing.. Depends on who is what where I suppose. I'll gear both roles eventually like I did with Gayla.
